Could someone please go give Jimmy Carter a hug and point him back to Plains? At last report, the former president was seen wandering aimlessly near the West Bank sharing hugs with Hamas.

“I’m not a negotiator. I’m just trying to understand different opinions and provide communication between people,” Carter said. Try this, Mr. President — Go get a nice bicycle. Replete with a bell. Land a courier job in the big city.

I honor Jimmy Carter for his amazing sweat equity and positive impact upon Habitat for Humanity. It is, however, a reckless act that Carter has committed by stepping onto such delicate soil without the blessings of the current administration in Washington. Could this be but a preview of future activities on the world stage should a Democrat occupy the Oval Office?
